Yesterday I had a wonderful time hosting a weekly online Biblejournalingsession , we were with 13 ladies from different parts of the world! During our time together I spoke about something I heard Andy Fishburne say in his sermon. It was about John 14:1-14 In my Fathers house there are many dwelling places.
I was thinking about dwelling , in the Cambridge Dictionary: “A house or place to live in” and a dweller is “a person who lives in a city, town, cave etc.” Dwell also means “to think or talk about something a lot of the time.” I got the idea that dwelling in the Biblical term is also a form of waiting witch means “To allow time to go by, especially while staying in one place without doing very much, until someone comes, until something that you are expecting happens or until you can do something.”
We do a lot of waiting and we may know that God is with us in the waiting and whatever were going through we can rest (dwell) in his presence. We can dwell with God in the middle of the most troubling time.
Life is like a storm sometimes and it is not waiting for the storm to pass, it is about learning to dance in the rain.
